Within the magic of the Story Circle many things are at work, reaching deep into the hearts and minds of those present. Weaving together tales from different traditions I create vibrant and engaging sessions, and my approach is gentle and open-hearted. I also offer Story Workshops to develop and deepen the journey into the world of Story and I use a colourful repertoire of ways to explore the Imagination and to encourage self-expression. These workshops can include movement and music, drama and the making of simple books and story objects.

I work with many different groups; with pre-school children; primary-aged children; with families, and also in Special Needs Settings. I also give Story Performances and this year have been fortunate to be able to work with musicians - blending stories with violin, recorder and guitar.

I have a deep respect for all who join me in and around the Story Space and we value everyone's contribution. I am continually inspired by the people I meet, and delight in the pleasure gained from the sharing of stories.

"Pysche and Soma"

I have a background in teaching and in April 2010 I completed a pioneering part-time training course with the Sesame Institute. The Sesame approach to Drama and Movement Therapy incorporates the theories of its founder Marian Lindvkist, Carl Jung, Rudolf Laban and Peter Slade. Using non-verbal drama and movement Sesame works gently to reveal the transformative energies of images contained within stories and poems, and within ourselves.
